ROCHESTER, NY – The College of Staten Island women's soccer team jumps back into East Coast Conference (ECC) play Saturday afternoon when they match up with Roberts Wesleyan University in Rochester, NY. The Dolphins are looking for their first-ever win over the RedHawks, as well as their first ECC win of the season.

2025 Meeting Recap:

The two teams met last season at Dolphins Soccer Park for their ECC opener. The Dolphins struck first after Mille Hunt sent the ball toward the net and found the top-left corner for a 1-0 lead over the RedHawks. Before the conclusion of the first half, Roberts Wesleyan was able to equalize and send the teams into halftime tied at one. The RedHawks' defense held the Dolphins without a shot in the second half while Roberts Wesleyan recorded 13 shots. The offensive pressure paid off as the RedHawks found the back of the net twice to secure the 3-1 victory over the Dolphins.

2026 Dolphins Statistics Overview:

The Dolphins are currently 1-4 overall and 0-1 in ECC play following their conference opener against D'Youville. Caitlyn Thompson leads the team with five points on two goals and one assist. In their most recent game Wednesday against #20 Saint Michael's, the senior scored the lone Dolphin goal of the afternoon on a 40-yard free kick. Addison Lucy follows with one goal for two points.

Oksana Zahirna has been the Dolphins' go-to goalkeeper this season, recording 44 saves through five games.
