COLLEGE OF STATEN ISLAND ATHLETICS
Staff HS - Meza

Antonio Meza

Meza joined the Dolphins staff in 2016, working primarily with CSI's contingent of goalkeepers.  Meza was also recently named the College's newest Strength & Conditioning Coach in August of 2017, bringing an impeccable resume to the table, centered on coaching and training teams and individuals.

His experiences center around the sport of soccer, where he started as an Academy Goalkeeper Coach in Catolica, Chile, in 1991.  He then transitioned as the Strength and Conditioning Coach for Chile's Serie B professional soccer affiliate of Magallanes FC.  Meza then had a two year stop on Yamagata, Japan, as a technical director for soccer-specific training, before landing in the United States with the New York Metrostars / Red Bull Academy staff in 2002.  There, Meza oversaw extensive academy coaching along with fitness and conditioning assignments, training curriculum, and budget panning for the organization until 2011.

Most recently, Meza was named the Director of Coaching for the New Jersey Cedar Stars Academy, a position he held from 2012-16.  For the past year, Meza transitioned to his role as the current Goalkeeper Coach for the Dolphins, alongside goalkeeper coaching duties with Staten Island Cedar Stars Academy and Strength and Conditioning Coach with the New Jersey Stallions Academy.  The coaching, organizing, and the strength and conditioning development stops have prepared Meza significantly for this newest venture.
