John Tardy

 
Around the soccer circuit nearly all of his life, John Tardy made
his collegiate head coaching debut in 2012 for the men’s soccer
team, and the team blossomed with every turn, posting its first
ECAC postseason appearance since 2005 that same year.
Coach Tardy has reached the conference semi final every year
at the helm. He’s captured four CUNYAC regular season titles,
two ECAC appearances, and has the most wins as a head coach
 in Dolphins history.
 
A Staten Island native,Tardy shined on the pitch at St. Joseph by
the Sea High School where he was a four-time Staten Island
Advance All-Star. He played club soccer for New York Redbulls
Academy where he was a 2x National Champion and youth All
American. Along the way he was part of Region 1 ODP and
Youth National Team
 
His exploits led him to the Clemson University where he played
two seasons before transferring and completing his collegiate
career at St. John’s University where he won a Big East
Championship in 2009.
 
He has coached club for Staten Island United where he has
captured 2 Eastern New York State Cups in the USYS National
Championship Series. He currently coaches at the club level for
Cedar Stars Academy Staten Island.Coach Tardy also captured
the colleges first win in Division II history with a 2-1 Win over
Felician University during the 2019 season.
