A new face to the collegiate coaching ranks, Silva will be making his assistant coaching debut with the Dolphins in time for the 2019 season. Around the sport his entire life, Silva was a scholarship baseball player at NCAA Division II Pace University, competing with the Setters' program until 2015.
As a pitcher with Pace, Silva hopes to bring his approach to managing the infield and reading batters as primary assets to the softball diamond. During his time at Pace he logged over 57 innings of work, holding opponents to a batting average of .251.
A Special Education teacher at P.S. 180 in Borough Park, Brooklyn, Silva has also had stops as a Career Retention Specialist in Staten Island and is a former Camp Counselor with the Big Apple Games on Staten Island.
A Staten Island native, Silva is a graduate of Tottenville High School.
