By far the most active women's softball player in the month of March, freshman Jacqueline Cautela has been named the month's Female Athlete of the Month. Cautela has made a sensational entry into the College ranks, starting all 9 of CSI's games in the month, which saw CSI go 5-4. Cautela only batted .467 for the Dolphins in that span, earning a seven-game hit streak to start her career. She had four multi-hit games, and led the Dolphins with 14 total hits, doubles, triples, and runs scored with 11. She also added a pair of stolen bases and boasted a perfect fielding percentage. What's more is that Cautela has adapted well to being the team's No. 1 pitcher, where she boated a 3-2 record with a 3.46 ERA. She logged 32.1 total innings, fanning 24 batters while opponents hit just .250 against her.
