College of Staten Island Athletics

Katelyn Hepworth of the Women’s Basketball team has been named the College of Staten Island’s Female Athlete of the Month for November. Hepworth is a freshman coming from Notre Dame Academy High School in Staten Island, NY.

In her short time as a CSI Dolphin, Hepworth was already named CUNY’s Rookie of the Week for her performance in the season’s first week of play.

Hepworth helped the Dolphins in their season opening win against New Jersey City University with nine points and 14 rebounds. Despite the loss in a thrilling double overtime game against FDU-Florham Hepworth had an all-around game tallying ten points, eight rebounds, four assists, four steals and two blocks. Against Ramapo College, the rookie scored seven points and grabbed 11 rebounds.

The Dolphins are close November with a 1-3 record with high hopes for an improving season.
