Ryan Hennessey has been chosen as CSI’s Male Athlete of the Month for January 2010. The senior guard has been an important part of the men’s basketball team for the past four years.

Hennessey has had quite a month for the Dolphins. In CSI’s win over FDU-Florham on January 11th, the 6-0 guard had 30 points including 9 three point goals. A few days later in the teams win over Medgar Evers, he tallied 15 points shooting 50% from the field. On January 26th against CCNY, Ryan hit a milestone, scoring his 1,000th point as a CSI Dolphin. He finished the game with 21 points and six assists. Hitting 1,000 made him only the 26th male player in CSI history to achieve such a mark. Hennessey added 12 points in CSI’s first win over Kean University in a few years time on January 18th. He finished the month with a 15 point game against Medgar Evers.

Currently, the St. Joseph by the Sea product is 14th in CUNYAC in scoring, averaging 14.5 per game. He is 6th in CUNYAC in 3 point percentage with 40.5% and 2nd in 3 pointers made with 66 made (3.5 per game). He is also 8th in CUNYAC in assist/turnover ratio at 1.0.
