Ahmed El-Ghareib has been chosen as CSI’s Male Student-Athlete of the Month for September 2011. The senior goalkeeper has been an important part of the Dolphin team.
 
With his second season in goal for the Dolphins, El-Ghareib has totaled 62 saves thus far in nine games. In 2010, he was the only Dolphin to serve in goal for the team, this season he is on his way to conquering the same feat.
 
El-Ghareib has been given an honorable mention as part of the CUNYAC Player of the Week awards already this season.
 
As of the end of September, El-Ghareib is ranked 19^th in the nation for saves per game averaging 7.75 per game.
