The Women's Basketball team grabbed the first ever Championship title in the Rinso Marquette Tournament Sunday night in Anneville, Pennsylvania. The Dolphins grabbed an 80-65 win over host team Lebanon Valley College. The team extended their young season to 4-1 overall.
Four Dolphins scored in double digits to push the team. Leading was Kristen Panariello with 19 points and 10 rebounds. Allie Shanahan added 18 points netting four from the 3-point range. After breaking the rebound record in the game against Wesley, Megan Sullivan grabbed 8 rebounds and tallied 13 points. Senior Nicole Estrada scored 14 points.
CSI took the lead at half time, 33-28. Lebabanon Valley also saw 4 girls in double digits while being led by Andrea Hoover and Lori Lidlow with 17 points a piece.
Megan Sullivan was named tournament Most Valuable Player and accepted the award from Rob Marquette, son of Rinso Marquette, while Melanie D'Ambrosi was named to the All Tournament Team.
The Dolphins return home for play on Tuesday, November 25 as they take on Ramapo College at 5:00pm.
