College of Staten Island men's swimming defeated Drew University on Tuesday evening100-88 while the women of CSI fell in a 104-40 defeat to the Rangers.
The men captured 7 first place wins including two from
Danila Novikov. The freshman timed in at 10:28.29 in the 1000 Yard Freestyle and 1:58.70 in the 200 Yard IM.
Nikolay Shevchenko finished the 100 Freestyle with a time of 50.86 while Joe Lee topped the 200 Yard Freestyle with a 1:54.64 time. Vlad Romaonov captured gold in the 200 Yard Butterfly with a time of 1:58.48 and Pavel Buyanov marked a time of 2:08.34 in the 200 Yard Breaststroke.
Gabriella Villarruel had two silver finishes for the women; her 50 Yard freestyle time was 28.38 and 200 Butterfly time was 2:47.20. Priscilla Alvarez took two 3
rd place finishes in the 1000 yard Freestyle with a16:17.38 time and 3:31.26 time in the 200 Yard IM. Lauren Overeem finished second in the 100 Yard Freestyle with a time of 1:15.12.
The Dolphins are back in action this Saturday afternoon as they host CUNYAC rival Lehman College in a 1:00 pm contest.
