The College of Staten Island women fell to the Hunter Hawks in women's swimming on Tuesday evening. The Hawks took a 55-31 win over the Dolphins. CSI is now 0-2 after falling to Pace in their first meet last week.
Capturing multiple first place wins in the 8 events, the Hawks took the lead. The Dolphins were able to capture nine medal wins despite the loss.
Vasiliki Stergioula took silver and bronze win in the 1000 yard freestyle at 14:59.22 and 200 yard freestyle at 2:42.79. Teammate
Priscila Alvarez captured silver in the 200 yard freestyle with a 2:03.70 time.
Freshman Jackie Jamaleddine shined in the freestyle events finishing with a 46.60 time in the 50 yard and 1:19.28 in the 100 yard freestyle. Sophomore
Elaina Lei took silver in the 100 yard butterfly touching in at 1:34.04.
The teams will be back in action next Friday, November 4, as they host John Jay at 6:00 pm.
