CSI GAMEDAY: MEN'S BASKETBALL VS YORK COLLEGE, 1PM

The College of Staten Island men's basketball team is back on their home court for the first time in two weeks.  They will take on York College this afternoon at 1:00 pm after the Matty White Alumni game which starts at 11:00 am at the CSI Sports & Recreation Center.

Players To Watch (CSI): Frank Schettino has scored 76 points over his last two games while also collecting 10 assists.  Schettino is second in the nation with 8.7 assists per game and first in the nation with 174 total assists. Khaleeq Baum is second on the team with 13.7 points per game and leads the team in rebounds per game with 7.6. 
Players To Watch (YC):  Leading the charge for York College is Edwin Sainvil who is pouting in 18 points per game while adding 2.6 assists per game. Ryan Smart leads the team in minutes played per game (31.7) while also leading in rebounds per game with 11.
News & Notes: The men have been unstoppable within the CUNYAC this season and are three games up on second place Baruch College.  The Dolphins are 11-0 in CUNYAC play this season and will look to improve that to 12-0 this afternoon. The men defeated the Cardinals 84-50 earlier in the season where Robert Rossiter led all scorers with 24 points followed by Baum with 15.  CSI is currently on an eight game win streak and protects their home well with a 6-1 record at the CSI Sports & Recreation Center. . After posting an 11-16 record last season the Cardinals have been unable to find similar success this season as they have won just two games.  York's two lone wins this season came against CUNYAC opponents, Brooklyn College and Medgar Evers. On the road the Cardinals are 1-10 and are averaging 77 points per game which is significantly higher than their average at home (58 ppg) this season.. Over the last five meetings the Cardinals have taken just one game from the Dolphins which was in the quarterfinals of the CUNYAC Championships.
