GAMEDAY: WOMEN'S TENNIS @ LEHMAN, 3:30 PM

10/9/2018 10:56:00 AM

The College of Staten Island women's tennis squad is in action today when they travel to the Bronx, NY to take on CUNYAC opponents, Lehman College.  CSI looks to put an end to their four-match losing skid and pick up their first CUNYAC win of the season.

CSI VS. LEHMAN COLLEGE AT-A-GLANCE
Matchup:  CSI (1-4, 0-4)  vs. Lehman (2-6, 1-3)
Where: APEX Tennis Courts - 250 Bedford Park Blvd W, Bronx, NY 10468
All-Time Series: CSI leads, 23-7
Last Meeting:  October 12, 2017 - CSI won, 5-4
Players to Watch (CSI): Mariah DeGuia has played well for the Dolphins this season, posting a team-best 3-2 record from the number four hole. DeGuia will look to build on her win in her last outing to string a pair of wins together. Hannah Bruschi has moved up recently, playing as the number one but was unable to pick up the win from court number one.  Bruschi is 2-3 on the year and hopes she can even it today with a win over Lehman.
Players to Watch (LC): The Lightning dropped a close CUNYAC match, 5-4, against Brooklyn College on Saturday. Diwa Rana played an extended match against her opponent to lift her to a 2-1 win while Yohara Milineros took care of business on court six.
News & Notes: The Dolphins have owned this series against the Lightning, however, Lehman has started to make up some ground. Lehman College has won two of the last five meetings between these two teams, one of which was a CUNYAC Semifinal match. Four of the Dolphins' seven losses to Lehman have come at the APEX Tennis Courts, a spot the Dolphins have not won on since an 8-1 victory in 2014.
