Seeking to work their way back to .500, the well-rested College of Staten Island Women's Soccer team will continue the CUNYAC portion of their schedule today, taking on Lehman College in an 11:30 am start at the CSI Soccer Complex.

Players to Watch (CSI): The Dolphins are being led by dynamic second-year pair Mirsade Pelinkovic and Samantha LaValle.  Pelinkovic has been a playmaker in the midfield and on set pieces, boasting six goals and three assists, while LaValle also has six goals.  Amber Mitchell boasts four goals and a pair of assists while Lizbeth Aparicio leads the team with six assists.  Rebecca D'Aloia and Danie Duka, who has four assists, will be patrolling that back line, while the goalkeeping duties have really belonged to Samantha Beaudreault, who has logged over 630 minutes in net, making 38 saves and a .667 save percentage.
Players to Watch (LC):  Look for Melanie Huerta and Micaela Canapa to guide the Lightning as they have scored eight of Lehman's 14 goals this season, four apiece., while Huerta has also assisted on three.  Valeria Rojas Alingue and Miriam Hernandez have logged two goals each.  Rebecca Gritz has played every minute in goal for Lehman, a full 990 minutes, posting 97 saves and a respectable .678 save percentage while logging two shutouts.
News & Notes: This has been a series dictated by the Dolphins as they roll in with an 11-1 overall advantage in the series, having won seven in a row dating back to 2015.  In this recent seven-game span, CSI has out-scored Lehman, 19-4, including a big 5-0 win in last year's CUNYAC Postseason Tournament.  The last time they played at CSI, the Dolphins net a 2-0 win.  CSI has not allowed a goal against Lehman at home since the 2014 season, a 2-1 win.  Lehman's last and only win in the series came in the 2015 regular season, when they defeated CSI at home, 5-1.  CSI would go on to exact revenge with a 2-1 win in overtime in the CUNYAC Championship game. 
What's Next?: After this matchup, CSI will travel to face Montclair State University for a showdown under the lights at 7:00 pm on Monday, October 14.  Lehman will next play Brooklyn College a week from today, at home, at 6:00 pm.
