All-Time Series: CCNY leads, 32-10-3
Last Meeting:  September 19, 2018 - CSI won 9-0
Players to Watch (CSI):  The Dolphins continue to be led in goal-scoring by Phillip Lefkowitz, who has scored five times and dished out a team-best three assists.  Jahmali Peterson is right behind him with four goals while both Carlos Montesinos and and Lirim Gjonbalaj have found the back of net three times.  Senior Ryan Layman and freshman Mohammedou Sow have been fixtures on the back line with Layman now eclipsing 1000 minutes for the season and Sow quickly approaching that mark.  Along with Layman, fellow senior Erick Conde has also made eleven starts and ranks third on the team in minutes played among defenders.  Christian Carucci and Jake Foeldes have split time in goal for the Dolphins with Foeldes starting ten game and Carucci starting five.  Foeldes has a 63% save percentage and 1.59 goals allowed average while Carucci has a 64% save percentage and 2.29 goals allowed average.
Players to Watch (CCNY):  The Beavers are led in goal-scoring by John Yauri and Erik Jimenez who have each scored two goals.  Yauri is also the team leader in assists with three helpers so far in 2019.  CCNY has only scored eleven goals thus far with their two leading goal-scorers accounting for four of them and seven other players scoring once.  Among those seven Beavers, two have recorded both a goal and an assist, Edgar Gutierrez and Bubacarr Jaiteh.  In goal, all but 34 minutes have been played by Kacper Lesniak who has saved 70% of the shots he's faced allowing 3.6 goals per game in twelve starts.
News and Notes: CCNY holds a distinct advantage in the all time series having won 32 of the 45 meeting between the two sides since 1978.  However, the Dolphins have gotten the best of the Beavers each of the last two seasons winning the most recent meeting 9-0 and earning another shutout in 2017, 4-0.  The most consequential victory for either side against the other in recent memory came in 2015 when the Beavers defeated the Dolphins 2-1 in the CUNYAC Championship.  With the Dolphins transitioning to Division II, this will likely be the last time these two teams meet and could also be the final time the Men's Soccer program faces a CUNYAC opponent on their home turf.
What's Next?: Next up for the Dolphins will be another CUNYAC matchup against John Jay College on Wednesday at 3:30 PM.  The meeting will be a rematch of the 2018 CUNYAC Tournament Semifinals round, a game in which the Dolphins battled back from a late 1-0 deficit to come away with a 2-1 victory and a berth in the CUNYAC Championship.
