All-Time Series: WPU leads, 8-6
Last Meeting:  November 13, 2018 - CSI won 71-56
Players to Watch (CSI):  The Dolphins spread the ball around in their meeting with New Haven, and were led by Megan McEwan's 13, a mark that included an 11-12 clip from the free-throw line.  McEwan added a team-high three assists and five steals, two categories where she led the team last year.  Freshman Jada Rogers earned the most time with 35 minutes played and earned eight points and team high eight rebounds.  Fellow frosh Kristina Arvelo battled fould trouble, but posted nine points and is hoping for bigger results again.  @018-19 leading rebounder Diana Todaro was also rlagued with foul trouble, fouling out after 15 minutes before posting an abbreviated six points and a single rebound.
Players to Watch (WPU):  Seniors Alisa Giordano and Kye Adams will be looking to steady the ship tonight for the Pioneers and the team has five juniors who should also see heavy minutes.  Among them is Brianna Brooks, who averaged 6.4 points a year ago in just 11 starts.  She should see plenty more action this season.  Sierra Strong started two games last season and should see an advance as well after averaging 3.1 rebounds to go with 3.9 points in 2018-19.
News & Notes: These two teams have met every season in each of the last four years with both teams taking a pair of wins in a row.  The Dolphins have the more recent streak, winning 71-56 last year in New Jersey, winning prior to that on Staten Island, 79-58 during the 2017-18 season.  Overall, WPU leads the series, 8-6, and they have taken four of the six overall meetings played at CSI.  The series between the two sides started in 1998.  Tonight is WPU's opener.  They finished 12-13 least season in the very competitive New Jersey Athletic Conference.  They did struggle on the road, however, going just 5-8 away from their home court.  CSI, meanwhile, finished with an outstanding 10-3 record on their home floor last year, and dating back to last season, have won five of their last six at The Tank.
What's Next?:  CSI will be idle until Sunday, when they will travel to face Southern New Hampshire in what will be a CSI vs. SNH doubleheader.  The women will tip-off at 1:00 pm.  WPU will travel to York, Pennsylvania, for a date against York on Friday with tip set for 5:30 pm.
