All-Time Series: First Meeting
Players to Watch (CSI): 2018 leading scorer Samantha LaValle has been the offensive catalyst again for the Dolphins in 2019, leading the way with a trio of goals to start the season.  Midfield play maker Mirsade Pelinkovic has net one goal and an assist so far, leading CSI with 255 minutes on the pitch, second only to goalkeeper Samantha Beaudraeult.  Jordan Yagos has CSI's lone other goal, the game-winner over Penn College in CSI's season-opener.  Beaudreault, a first-year sophomore, has impressed in goal for CSI, making 20 saves through three starts.  Defensively, CSI is getting great production from senior Rebecca D'Aloia, who has logged 253 minutes.  She is joined by fellow defensive mates Lizbeth Aparicio and freshman Danie Duka to steady the back line.
Players to Watch (CC):  Like the Dolphins, Concordia has scored five goals through three games, and they've gotten two goals and an assist each from Sara Calvert and Leigh-Ann Ramsay.  Ramsay is also leading the way with 15 total shots, seven of them on goal.  Jimena Garcia-Risoto is next in line with a goal and an assist to round out the Clippers scoring attack.  Sophia Cogan and Meagan Meuwisse have been sharing the goalkeeper duties.  Cogan has made all three starts, registering 22 saves with a robust .759 save percentage.  Meuwisse has made seven saves in relief.
News & Notes: Today is the first meeting ever between the two sides and it is CSI's first game against an NCAA Division II opponent since joining the DII ranks this summer.  After winning their season-opener, CSI has dropped contests to Ramapo College (5-2), and William Paterson University (3-0), so they enter this one on a two-game skid.  Concordia, however, is trending upward.  They fell to Queens College, 6-1, in their opener, and then fell, 3-1, to Pace University, before defeating St. Thomas Aquinas College in double-overtime, 2-1, on Saturday.  Today is the fourth of five-straight road games to open the season for Concordia.  They had lost 9-straight road games dating back to last season prior to their win on Saturday.
What's Next?: After today's game the Dolphins will be back in action on Saturday to start their schedule against CUNYAC teams.  They will be at Aviator Field in Brooklyn to take on Medgar Evers College at 6:30 pm.  As for the Clippers they conclude their season-opening road trip with a date at Holy Family University on Saturday at 12 Noon.
