The College of Staten Island Women's Tennis team is seeking their first victory of the season after a tough, 0-3, start, and will look to do it in an afternoon matinee against visiting Farmingdale State University at the CSI Tennis Center.

Players to Watch (CSI):Â The Dolphins will be without their lone winner in a match this season in
Tristiana Adragna, so will be leaning on returners like
Hannah Bruschi,
Lorianna Fernandez, and
Mariah DeGuia to lead the way against the Rams.Â
Jasmine Shaikh and
Iris Cule will also be looking to score their first wins of the season as well.
Players to Watch (FARM): Leading the way for the Rams is Nicole Ferguson, who is a perfect 5-0 in the Nos. 4-5 positions. She is followed by Anastasia Hoffman and Nicole Tzanetos, who have identical 4-1records. Kayla Reid, who has played four matches all at No. 1 will be looking for her first victory on the season.
News & Notes: This will be the ninth all-time meeting between the two sides, with Farmingdale having won five. The Rams also won the last meeting over two years ago when the teams met up in the spring semester that year. Prior to that, CSI had won two of the previous three meetings, which includes the last one played on Staten Island in 2015, 5-3. CSI is 2-2 all-time at home against Farmingdale having won the last two. The last time Farmingdale defeated CSI in Staten Island was on September 10, 2011, a slim 5-4 win. After a 1-1 start, Farmingdale has reeled off four-straight wins and are 3-0 on the road so far this year.
What's Next?: The Dolphins will be idle until September 27, when they host Baruch College at 3:30 pm, in what will be their third of four-straight home matches. As for the Rams, they will continue their road streak with a match at St. Joseph's Brooklyn on Tuesday, September 24, at 7 pm, as the USTA Center.
