All-Time Series: First meeting
Players to Watch (CSI):  The Dolphins continued their recent stretch of strong performances at the offensive end of the floor on Wednesday against Lehman led by leading-scorer Megan McEwan's 20 points, 12 coming in the opening quarter.  Kristina Arvelo's hot outside shooting, 4-7 from three-point range, helped her to a 16-point effort, and Deidre Foster recorded a double-double with 12 points and 10 rebounds.  Brianna Robisky filled up the stat sheet with 13, 8, and 5 while Diana Todaro flirted with a double-double of her own once again with 8 points and 9 boards.  Jada Roogers continued her impressive freshman season with CUNYAC Rookie of the Week honors this week and is averaging just shy of double-figures scoring while Kayla Schmitter, a freshman standout from last season, has scored 8.9 points per game through fifteen contests.
Players to Watch (CU):  Much like the Dolphins, the Cavaliers come in playing some of their best basketball of the season having won each of their last four games.  Shouldering the biggest offensive loads are Ashley Tutzauer and Kate Lannon who have each scored just shy of 14.5 points per game.  Both have also been incredibly efficient with Tutzauer shooting 41.4% from the field Lannon shooting 42%.  Lannon is also third on the team in rebounding with 5.7 per game behind only Katie Rodriguez, averaging 5.8, and Meghan Matthews who leads the team with 8.  Lexi Edwards completes the trio of double-digit scorers for Cabrini averaging 11.7 per game for the Cabrini offense that comes in scoring 72.2 points per game.
News & Notes:  Both teams come in playing very well as of late with the Dolphins winning seven of their last nine and the Cavaliers having won their last four in a row.  Though the Dolphins have some familiarity with the Cavaliers on the men's side, having played them twice in 2017-2018 including a matchup in the Division III NCAA Tournament, this is the first time the women have faced the Cavaliers.  Tonight's game will be the last matchup for CSI against a team outside of the CUNYAC as each of their nine remaining games after this will be played against their former conference.  The two teams do share a single common opponent in Brooklyn College, and both the Dolphins and Cavaliers won their game against the Bulldogs handily, CSI picking up an 83-66 victory and Cabrini earning an 86-61 win.  For Cabrini, tonight's matchup with the Dolphins also marks their final non-conference game of the year as they will face only AEC competition the rest of the way.  Thus far, they are a perfect 3-0 in conference game while the Dolphins are 6-1 against their former conference, the CUNYAC, and 0-2 against members of their new conference, the ECC.
What's Next?:  Following tonight's matchup with the Cavaliers, the Dolphins will play their final nine games of the season against the CUNYAC.  The fist of those game will be played on the road at Baurch College on Wednesday at 5:30 PM.
