All-Time Series: CSI leads, 49-15
Last Meeting: January 4, 2020, CSI won 71-58
Players to Watch (CSI):  Megan McEwan continued her recent stretch of strong offensive efforts in the last CSI victory over Baruch and she is now averaging 14.1 points per game on 37.2% shooting from the field and just shy of 37% from beyond the arc.  Jada Rogers is also averaging double-digits with 10.1 per game, and is one of three Dolphin rotation players shooting over 42% from the field.  The others are Deidre Foster, who is averaging 8.6 points and 7.3 rebounds, and Brianna Robisky who leads the team with her 47.1% mark from the floor.  Diana Todaro continues her push to average a double-double as she is now scoring 9.2 per game while averaging 10.1 boards.  Kayla Schmitter has added another 8.9 points and 5.1 rebounds as part of the starting lineup for a Dolphins team that has now won nine of eleven since their 0-6 start.
Players to Watch (JJC): The Bloodhounds come in with an offensive attack that has seen five players averaging double-figures on the season including Katie Healy, All'aha Albright, Nyasha Howard, Lily Rakitzis, and Kameron De Voogd.  Healy leads the way with 18.1 points per game and is averaging a double-double as she has also pulled in 10.6 rebounds per game.  Albright has scored 16.6 per contest and is also contributing on the glass with 6.6 rebounds per game.  Howard has added another 14.6 points per game and has also been a force on the glass with 9.5 rebounds per game.  Rakitzis and De Voogd are also above the 13-point mark and are both shooting over 42% from the field.  Only Healy has been more efficient as her 51.8% shooting leads the team.
News & Notes:  The Dolphins defeated the Bloodhounds the last time these two teams met three weeks ago by a final score of 71-58, a win which extended the Dolphins winning streak against the Bloodhounds to sixteen games.  The last John Jay win against CSI came in January of 2013, and this afternoon's matchup may be the Bloodhounds final chance to end their losing skid against the Dolphins.  With CSI making the transition to NCAA Division II beginning this season, each matchup against a CUNYAC opponent the rest of the way could be the last.  CSI will play against additional teams from their new home, the East Coast Conference, next season, and may not face many of their CUNYAC rivals beyond this year.  Both teams come in shooting right around 39% from the field, but the Dolphins hold an advantage of about two percentage points from downtown, 31.5% to 29.3%.  CSI also has a positive rebounding margin while the Bloodhounds have been out-rebounded by a narrow margin per game this season.
What's Next?:  Next up for the Dolphins is a trip to CCNY for their second meeting of the season with the Beavers.  Tip-off for that game on Tuesday night is scheduled for 5:00 PM.
