About Overwatch:  Overwatch is a fast-paced, first-person shooter, where teams are matched up six against six to battle in a series of different competitive scenarios.  Gamers choose a character to control in one of three different roles: Tank (defenders), DPS (damage inflictors), and Support (healers).  The ECC follows a format where teams try to win a best-of-five competition with a point earned per round played.  Each of the five rounds of play are different, with modes generally centered around sequentially securing control of points on the map, or escorting a payload between points on the map, with one team attacking while the other defends, or a combination of those scenarios.  Rounds can take anywhere from 15-40 minutes with an entire match extending between two to three and a half hours, depending on the competitive matchup.
News & Notes:  Now in its third year, the East Coast Conference is kicked off play four weeks ago band we have officially approached the midway point of the season.  CSI is off to a 3-0 start, defeating Molly, 3-1, then Daemen via forfeit, and then, after a week's lay-off due to bye, responded with a very convincing, 3-0, win over Hood College a week ago.  They are looking to stay unblemished today and run their record up to 4-0.  Meanwhile, Farmingdale State, in their first year within the ECC as an associate member, have been playing each week.  In their opener, they had a healthy, 3-0, win over Mercy College, but then fell to Southern New Hampshire in their next effort, 0-3.  After losing to Molloy as well by a score of 0-3, they rebounded the easy way with a forfeit win over Daemen.  For the Rams, they are looking to turn that win into a winning streak and move their up the standings with a big win tonight.
What's Next?:  Overwatch matches take place every Friday at 7:00 PM, but next week they will play twice on Monday and Friday.  On Monday, CSI will take on Mercy College with an intended 7:00 PM start.  They then play Old Westbury on Friday.  In other games going on tonight, NYIT (3-0) is facing off against Hood College (1-2), Souther New Hampshire (2-1) takes on Molloy (3-1), and Mercy (1-3) takes on Daemen (0-4).
