ECC'S STUDENT-ATHLETE VIRTUAL PROGRAMMING REMINDER: 11/12

11/11/2020 12:00:00 PM

West Babylon, NY | The East Coast Conference announced a lineup of virtual programming throughout the fall semester for its member institutions student-athletes, with registration open now for interested parties. The November installment is set for this Thursday, with a concentration on mental health.  There are still registration seats open for this event and CSI Student-Athletes are encouraged to attend.

"We know that the fall semester will not be an easy one for many of our ECC student-athletes as they try to navigate training and practices but no competitions," said ECC Commissioner, Dr. Robert Dranoff. "We are pleased we could put together an excellent set of online programming over the course of the next few months that will provide some personal development opportunities as well as continue our efforts to educate and build understanding."

The ECC presentation slated for tomorrow will feature Ivy Watts, a former NCAA Division II student-athlete, leading the discussion on mental health empowerment.  It follows great discourse been had so far in categories like civic engagement and social justice.

DJ Washington of Athlete Network will lead the final program, focusing on career planning, on December 3.

Each of the four programs will begin at 7:00 p.m. and take place via Zoom. To attend any of the remaining sessions, register at the links below.
