Staten Island, NY – The College of Staten Island Women's Soccer team (2-10-1, 1-3-1 ECC) playing their third consecutive road game, will jump back into East Coast Conference (ECC) action today facing St. Thomas Aquinas (4-6, 2-3 ECC). Game time is set for 11am at Sparkill, NY. This is the first ever meeting between both teams.
LAST TIME OUT
This past Thursday, CSI fell, 4-0 to Wilmington University on the road as part of a non-conference matchup. Before that, on Saturday October 9, CSI played ECC foe D'Youville College and earned themselves a tie, 1-1. Keeping CSI even with the Saints in the ECC Standings. Both games were on the road, as is today's matchup.
DOLPHINS TO WATCH
The Dolphins only mustered one shot in their last game, while the opposing team put in work for CSI freshmen goalie
Sara Villacres who has saved 64 balls thus far in the season, allowing just under three goals per game. However, it is the offense that the Dolphins will need to produce for a win. Look for
Nadia Evola,
Mirsade Pelinkovic, and
Jenna Como to attack the Spartans today as those three combine for 28 shots taken (17 on-goal) with five goals, more than any other Dolphins on the team.
