Game Recap: Men's Soccer |

DOLPHINS EARN SECOND WIN OF SEASON IN SHUTOUT OF HOLY FAMILY 2-0

Staten Island, NY – The College of Staten Island Men's Soccer team improved their overall record to 2-6 with a 2-0 win against the Tigers of Holy Family University, who fell to 3-6 overall.  CSI has now won two of their last four games, while the Tigers dropped their second straight at home.

KEY MOMENTS
CSI got on the board quickly at the 5:12 mark of the game when, Daniel Angulo, the CSI captain, registered his first goal of the season off a free kick at the top of the box that put CSI up 1-0 early in the game. The Dolphins would take that lead into the half, in what was a back-and-forth first half following that goal score. The second half was played much tighter for most of the period, and it wasn't until late when the Dolphins would strike once more for insurance.  It was at the eighty-first minute of play, when CSI freshman Shane Siegel found the back of the Tiger's net for CSI's second goal of the game, putting the Dolphins up for good, 2-0.

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
CSI won the battle of shot attempts tallying 12 shots, six on goal, to the Tiger's 10 shots, four on goal. Holy Family won the corner kick battle, 7-3.  However, the Dolphins defense was up to the task, and alongside CSI freshman goalie, Bougary Sissoko, were up to the task as he saved all four shots-on-goal from the Tigers.

DOLPHIN(S) OF THE GAME
Today's Dolphins of the game were the two scoring players for CSI, Daniel Angulo and Shane Siegel.  Angulo provided the first goal of the game early and stayed aggressive, registering five shots on the day with a goal. Siegel took two shots on the day, both quality attempts as one found the back of the next for his second goal of the season.
