Staten Island, NY - The Dolphins of the College of Staten Island Men's Soccer team (1-6) will travel this afternoon to Philadelphia for a midseason non-conference matchup against Holly Family University Tigers (3-5-1). Game time is set for 3:30 PM on New Tiger Field in PA. This will be the first ever meeting between both teams. The Dolphins should be fresh with a week of practice since their last game.
LAST TIME OUT
Taking on East Coast Conference (ECC) foe the University of the District of Columbia last Wednesday, September 29, the Dolphins were shut out in a, 1-0 defeat. The CSI loss dropped their season mark to 1-6, 0-3 in ECC play. The win for the Firebirds was their fourth-straight and improved their record to 4-4 overall, 3-0 against conference opponents.
DOLPHINS TO WATCH
Although the Dolphins are on a two-game skid, they have played well in the last three games giving up only a goal in each contest, including a home overtime win against Bloomfield College. Look for the defensive squad of CSI to continue their gritty defensive while midfielders,
Michael Rofail,
Daniel Angulo, and
Brandon Figueroa take their shots; the trio combine for over 40% of the team's total shot attempts thus far this season.
