CSI ESPORTS: WEEK FIVE REVIEW + WEEK SIX PREVIEW

Staten Island, NY – Through Week Five of ECC & ECAC Esports Fall 2021 season, CSI Esports teams are 28-14 collectively. CSI's Valorant team is stays undefeated now at, 5-0. Below you will find every Esports match played in Week Five. In addition, find out what matchups are coming up this week and watch LIVE if applicable.

Week Five Results: ECAC: CSI 2, Lycoming College 0 (9-2, 9-4 Stocks Taken)

ECAC: Best two out of three 9-Stock 3v3 Crew Battle
ECC: Best two out of three 1v1 3-Stock Battle Format
ECAC: CSI's SSBU team only needed two players of their three player SSBU team to move to, 4-1, in the ECAC after beating Lycoming College in straight sets, 2-0. In game one, Sofronio Lorenzo (Frio), using his usual character, Captain Falcon, took out LYC's first player on his own, with 185% damage left. Lorenzo (Frio) would go on to take out LYC's next two players, taking all nine stocks while losing only two of his three in the game one win. In game two, Lorenzo (Frio) started the game once more, though, LYC made a character change that helped them defeat Lorenzo (Frio), three stocks to two. In round two, CSI sent out Justin Pena (Yotin), who lost his first stock but recovered and took out LYC's first player who had one stock remaining. Pena (Yotin) took care of business taking out LYC's second and third players single handily without losing any of his two remaining stocks taking seven straight stocks to end the game all with SSBU character, Samus.
 
ECC: In ECC 1v1 SSBU matchups, CSI's Nicholas Lam (ToonNick) stays undefeated (5-0) after a tight 3-2 win against Nathan from NYIT. James Handibode (Sly) and Emmanuel Santos (blub) each pick up their second loss of the season, both now in third place in their respective groups, with a 3-2 record. Justin Pena (Yotin) will play his match on Monday night in November 1 as per a reschedule.

CSI's Amr Mousa (Mousey) moves back to over .500 with a win against Fanshawe College in straight sets, 2-0. Following a loss last week. Mousa (Mousey) scored eight goals in his game one victory for a final of, 8-4. Game two was bit tighter, however, Mousa (Mousey) was able to come out on top with a final of, 5-3.

PS4: Christopher Velasquez (CSI C Team) lost to University of Central Missouri's Tyler Sylvester in straight sets in what was his tough shooting night for Velasquez via Lakers V Lakers matchup. The loss drops Velasquez to 3-2 in the ECAC season.
 
 Xbox: Michael Ashley (CSI M Team) played in his first official game, though, it was loss and due to technical reasons was forced to forfeit game two. Ashley is now even at 2-2 in the ECAC season.

ECC & ECAC: Best two out of three, 3v3
ECC: CSI improved their record to, 4-1, after beating D'Youville College in straight sets, 3-0, following their first loss ever last week. CSI took game one, 4-2, leading the entire game, each Dolphin scored a goal with Samuel Rozenfeld (Eleventeen) receiving the star of the game with two goals on two shots with an assist. In game two, DYC took an early 1-0 lead in the first six seconds of play, however, CSI quickly responded in the next 11 seconds, tying the game 1-1, then scoring three more before a final of, 5-2. Maxim Kleyer (Muckz) was the star of game two, with two goals on three shots, two assists and two saves. Game three was their most dominant win as CSI was up, 5-0, with less than half of the game to go before a final of, 7-4. Rozenfeld (Eleventeen) was the star of game three with four goals on four shots with an assist and a save. Ralphy Vargas (Driftzy) was responsible for the number of goals scored leading the team with seven assists between all three games, including four in game three.
 
ECAC: CSI defeated University of Kentucky to improve to, 4-1 on the ECAC season, in what was a extremely even matchup between both teams. CSI took game one, 1-0, it was Maxim Kleyer (Muckz) who scored the only goal of game one, when he blasted a shot from the air passed two UK defenders crisscrossed in the air. Game two was another close game, tied 1-1 at the end of regulation, it took UK +2:10 minutes to score the golden goal and take game two, 2-1. CSI saved seven shots in that game two loss. Game three also was tied at 1-1 and went into overtime, though, this time it was CSI scoring the golden goal at the +1:49 minute mark; it was a great set up by Samuel Rozenfeld (Eleventeen) for Kleyer (Muckz) who was positioned in the air perfectly for the shot over the top that struck the back of the net for a game three, 2-1 win. CSI now up, 2-1 in the series, game four was another close contest, however, CSI was able to score twice, once in the three-minute mark and again in the one-minute mark and thus were able to hold on to a 2-0 final, game four win and, 3-1 match win. Goals were hard to come by in this one as both teams played a fantastic defensive match with saves left and right from both teams. CSI as a team for the match saved 22 of the 28 shots taken by UK. Rozenfeld (Eleventeen) lead the team with 11 saves in total. Kleyer (Muckz) led them in goals with four total, scoring one in each game. Ralphy Vargas (Driftzy) played stellar defense, clearing the ball when needed which does not show up on the box score, though, he did a little bit of everything in total with, two goals, two assists and six saves.

Week Five Result: CSI 2, Mercy College 0 (13-1, 13-2)

Game Notes:
Best two out three games
CSI picked up a win against Mercy College in straight sets, 2-0. CSI dominated from start to finish for a 13-1 game one victory followed by a 13-2 game two win. Kyle Collins (7iq) led the way with a 38 total kills. Christian Dumadag (Juicy) added 36 total kills. Ryan Lu (Miruux) joined CSI's kill leaders as the only other Dolphin with an average combat score of over 300 in both games. The win solidifies a tie in first place with NYIT who is also now 5-0.

Game Notes: In their fifth ECAC contest, CSI lost to the number one seeded Bulldogs of Louisiana Tech, 2-0 who remain undefeated.
