CSI will be looking for their first win of the season on the road, as they attempt to put a stop to their two-game losing streak. The Yellow Jackets are coming off a win as they hope to build on their current momentum.
LAST TIME OUT
This past weekend, CSI hosted their DII Tip-off Tournament as part of their annual Tournament of Heroes, three former CSI student-athletes, Terrance Aiken, Scott Davidson, and Tom Hannafin, who perished during the terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001, were remembered during the games over the weekend with family members in attendance. As for the game action, CSI lost both games of the tournament, first an 81-50 loss to the University of New Haven, then a loss to The College of Saint Rose, 112-54.
DOLPHINS TO WATCH
Thus far in two games played,
Austin Mick,
Bryce Waterman and
Messiah Mallory have all spent the most time on the court averaging nearly 35 minutes per-game for each. Waterman has taken the most three's, by far for CSI, though, he is only shooting 21% to start, expect that number to go up. Mick, who has taken the second most threes on the team thus far, is also struggling to start from three, shooting it at under 20%, though, he is a career 36% three-pointer shooter in two seasons with CSI. Mallory leads the team in rebounding with 14 total bounds in the two games played so far, he also is averaging two blocks per-game to start.
Chris Velasquez, who is the Dolphins starting point guard, is shooting the ball well from three, however, he hasn't taken many. Currently he has hit 4-7 threes, however, his nemesis were turnovers over the weekend, as he hopes to cut those down to give CSI more scoring opportunities on the offensive end.
