The lost drops the Dolphins record to 3-11-2 overall while the Cougars finalize their record to 5-11 overall. This was CSI's first game in the last twenty years against The Cougars who are still looking for their first win against the squad. This was CSI's fourth overtime game at Dolphin Soccer Park this season. Next up for CSI is their final ECC double header home matchup against Bridgeport University this Saturday.

KEY MOMENTS
The first half ended in a scoreless draw, though, both teams played a faced paced game tallying 18 shots between both teams in the half alone. CSI accounted for 11 of them in the first, five were on-goal, as the Dolphins had their chances to score early and often. CSI's
Larry Diggs took three shots, including a couple from
Jahmali Peterson that missed just before the goalie got to his spot and secured the ball. The second half saw more of CSI attacking, their best chance at a goal came early, it was at the fifty-first minute of play when,
Nicholas Kishenko, took a shot from outside the box that hit the crossbar, then a rebound shot by CSI was taken, though, that shot went high. The first goal came late, by Cougar, Chris Ferri who found the back of the net, speeding ahead of a Dolphin defender and ahead of CSI's goalie
Omer Hamzacebi, all from a nice ball from teammate, Kevin Avlia. The goal would be the first of the game and put Caldwell up, 1-0 in the match. Seven minutes later, in the seventy-ninth minute of play, CSI's Nicolas Keshenko fires a shot deep in the Cougars box past the diving Cougar goalie and into the back of the net, tying the game 1-1, with under 11 minutes remaining. Brenden Maguire assisted the game-tying goal, placing the ball perfectly in the Cougars box. The final minutes were nothing short of exciting, as both teams defense and goalies made plays that kept the game tied at the end of regulation. In the overtime periods, the first one went scoreless while the second one saw the Cougars net the Golden Goal off the foot of, Andre Vieira, who dribbled past CSI's Hamzacebi and scored the open goal net for the, 2-1 overtime win for Caldwell University.

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
The Dolphins put up 30 shots on the board (their most of the season), 11 of which were on-goal, though, only one found the back of the net for CSI in the game. A few of those balls hit the post and crossbar that may have given CSI a lead. The Cougars took 20 shots in the game, including seven in the overtime periods to CSI's six overtime shots. The Cougars tallied 10 saves in-all across both goalies used in the game. CSI only registered one save, though, it was big one, while many plays by the Dolphins defense in the back field, held their own when needed and blocked shots in the box all game long. The Cougars were the more physical team registering 20 fouls to CSI's nine.

DOLPHINS OF THE GAME
The CSI Dolphins offense took their shots today, leading the way was Nicolas Keshenko, who took nine shots in the game, four on-goal, including the lone score for CSI, his second of the season.
Larry Diggs took the second most with six, two on-goal, though, most of those came early in the first half.
Leandro Angulo and
Nilton Gonzalez both registered a yellow in the game, however, they were a big part of the Dolphins defense in the game, putting a stop to many scoring opportunities for the Cougars. In all, ten Dolphins took at least one shot in the game, eight of them took at least two shots, in what was their best well-rounded offensive game of the 2021 season.
