It was a tough debut for the Dolphins yesterday, falling to Molloy on the road in the first of a weekend three-game series.  The set continues this morning with a doubleheader between the two sides with play again taking place at Mitchel Field.  The teams will play one nine-inning contest, followed by a seven-inning affair.

All-Time Series:  Molloy leads, 1-0
Last Meeting: 3/26/21 - Molloy won 27-6
Players to Watch (CSI):  Despite the lopsided loss yesterday, CSI got great production from first-year sophomore Angel Santiago, who scattered three hits, the last two RBI singles.  Steven Collica was the only other Dolphins to post more than a single hit, going 2-5 at the  plate with a double and an RBI.  Four Dolphins took the hill yesterday, and CSI should see their returning duo of John Esposito and Kevin Ryan see some innings on the mound this afternoon.
Players to Watch (MOL):  Molloy had eight players post double-digit hits yesterday, led by David Franchi, who posted four hits in five at-bats, scoring a pair of RBI and three runs scored.  Thomas Brady went 3-3 in the game with 4 RBI, with Matt Overton going 2-3 with five RBI, four of them coming by way of a second inning grand slam.  Jake McCarthy was also outstanding, going 3-4 with four runs scored.  Joseph Murphy and Joe Minucci could see action today on the hill, both looking for their third starts on the season.
News & Notes: Yesterday marked the first-meeting ever between the two sides, with Molloy scoring the huge win.  The 27 runs allowed by CSI were the second-highest total ever by a CSI opponent in a single game and the most in a game against CSI since 1995.  The win for Molloy snapped a two-game slide by the Lions and improved them to 4-5 overall.  After today's contest, CSI will be idle until Thursday, April 1, when they travel for another three-game series against the University of Bridgeport as part of ECC play.  The same is true for Molloy, which has their three-game set next week against Queens College.
