STATEN ISLAND, NY – With the East Coast Conference regular season officially concluded, the conference has announced its major postseason awards. Freshman standout Jason Romance was named ECC Co-Rookie of the Year, highlighting a group of five Dolphins who earned All-Conference honors across the first and second teams.
Romance delivered an outstanding rookie campaign, leading the team with 32 RBI while adding seven home runs, 44 hits, and six doubles. He finished the season with a .306 batting average and a .506 slugging percentage. Throughout the year, he recorded two games with three RBI and six additional games with two.
Across the conference, Romance ranked among the top performers in multiple categories. He finished inside the top 25 in batting average, ranked 10th in on-base percentage (.455) and OPS (.962), seventh in home runs, second in walks (36), and ninth in sacrifice flies (four). His seven home runs place him second all-time in a single season in CSI's Division II era, while his RBI total ranks fifth, further cementing his place in program history.
Head Coach Michael Mauro praised his impact, stating, "From the moment he walked in the door, he has made a positive impact on the team both on and off the field. His hard work and commitment to the program paid off, and it's always great to see young talent like his recognized with a major award."
Romance led the team with seven home runs on the year
The Dolphins also secured four additional All-ECC honors, with Michael Flashner, Vincent Weigele, Jack Kehoe, and Ryan Palm earning recognition.
Flashner was the lone First Team All-ECC selection, earning the honor at second base. He finished the season batting .345, second-best on the team, while tying for the team lead with 51 hits. He also recorded seven doubles, 26 RBI, and a .439 slugging percentage.
Weigele, Kehoe, and Palm were each named Second Team All-ECC at their respective positions. Weigele, recognized at third base, posted a .270 batting average with 33 hits, 27 RBI, and three home runs. One of his standout performances came during a March 21 doubleheader against D'Youville, where he hit home runs in back-to-back games. He also came a home run shy of hitting for the cycle in the Senior Day win over Mercy on April 24.
Kehoe, the 2025 ECC Rookie of the Year, helped the Dolphins continue their streak of standout rookie performers earning major conference recognition. As an outfielder, he led the team with a .362 batting average, ranking eighth among the ECC's top hitters. He also totaled 51 hits, 22 RBI, and a team-high 10 doubles. Kehoe posted a team-best .978 OPS and ranked third on the team with a .475 slugging percentage.

Palm emerged as one of the Dolphins' top-performing freshmen, making his impact on the mound. The right-hander led the pitching staff with a 5.29 ERA, earning two wins across 51.0 innings pitched. Over 10 appearances, he recorded 20 strikeouts and threw two complete games. His standout performance came on March 21 against the Saints, when he struck out a career-high six batters over 7.0 innings.
