Staten Island, NY – The College of Staten Island Esports Teams played in their second set of competitions in the Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference (ECAC) Fall 2022 Esports League last week. Overall, the teams went 4-6 during Week Two of ECAC competition. Below you will find every Esports match played in Week Two of the ECAC. Week 2 Results White: CSI 4, University of Albany 1 (4-5 OT, 5-1, 6-1, 3-2, 4-1)
        Current Record: 2-0 | Tied for 1^st
Game Notes: CSI RL White Team is now 2-0 after a 4-1 match win over the University of Albany. CSI dropped game one in overtime (+3:01), though, would rally in the next four games to win the match, outscoring UA 18-5 in those four games. Kleyer (Mucks) led the team in total goals with 11 and in total saves with 12. Rozenfeld (Eleventeen) added seven goals and six saves, while Vargas (Driftzy), tallied the most assists in the match with seven to go along with five saves and four goals. *CSI's RL Blue team lost their second straight to start their first ECAC season as a team. CSI Blue did take one game against SLU. Look for them to bounce back next week.

ECAC Call of Duty Vanguard | 4v4 best of 5 | 10+ Schools in Competition

Week 2 Results: CSI 3, University of Albany 0 (250-6, 6-0, 3-0)
        Current Record: 2-0 | Tied for 1st with four others
Game Notes: CSI's COD Esports team won their second straight match in straight sets to start the season. In game one, Stathakos (Nix) led the team with 30 eliminations. In game two's 6-0 rout, Sullivan (Fivebang) and Stathakos (Nix) together tallied 17 of the team's 21 total eliminations in the game two win. In the deciding game, it was Hunt (HuntXO) who recored the highest score, with 21 eliminations and seven objective eliminations. The Dolphins COD team is off to a strong start as all players have contributed in each of their first two wins of the season.

        Current Record: 0-2 | Tied for 36th
Game Notes: CSI's Valorant Team was shut out 13-0 in a game for the first time ever last week. They lost game two, 13-4, though, not enough to take down a determined Pace Setters squad. Wells (Sano), Hutson (OblivionOG), and Kam (Seraphic) led the squad with 16 kills each between both games, though it was not enough. Dawoud (DonkeyLover302) tallied seven assists in the loss, meanwhile Kam (Seraphic) recorded six assists.

Week 2 Results: CSI 0, Ohio Northern University 2
        Current Record: 1-1 | Tied for 16^th
Game Notes: CSI LOL's team lost in their second week of ECAC action, moving their record to an even 1-1 record.
In game one, CSI total kills (11) were less than the team's total amount of Deaths (38). It was more of the same in game two, as CSI wasn't able to force a game three. Ponkov (VTaliy) took most of the team's damage at 35%+ in each game.

Week 2 Results NBA 2K23 (Rhealzzz): CSI W, vs SUNY Empire State College (Naftali M.) L (Forfeit)

Game(s) Notes: Jared Williams (SBCxSmoke) goes 2-0 in another convincing win in NBA 2K23 as he defeated Deston W. of SJU, 2-0. Williams (SBCxSmoke) took game one by 19 points using the Milwaukee Bucks while Deston lost using the Philadelphia 76ers. Game two was a bit closer as Williams (SBCxSmoke) held a 15-point lead though hit six more threes than Deston and was able to hold on for the 49-45 game, and series win. Healey (Rhealzzz) took a forfeit win and moves to 1-1 in the ECAC as he is yet to play an official match. In Williams (SBCxSmoke) Madden 23 matchup, he took game one as the Bills, 40-28 against the Bengals whom Nathan N of CU, chose first. Down 1-0 in the series, Nathan stayed with the same team, as did Williams (SBCxSmoke), though this time it was Nathan of CU winning by one point on the last drive, 29-28. In the deciding game three, Williams and Nathan went back a fourth but once again it was Nathan who came out on top by one, 27-26. Expect a comeback win next week for Williams.

Game(s) Notes: Velasquez (MrStatenIsland13), took another loss after taking the first game, 72-55 with the Milwaukee Bucks against the Brooklyn Nets. He would stay with the Bucks, though, Oshane of UA would choose the Los Angeles Clippers to defeat his Bucks, despite Velasquez (MrStatenIsland13) shooting 60% from the field and notching 62 points in the paint. In game three, there would be internet issues and Velasquez (MrStatenIsland13) would take the forfeit loss with a final of 33-15. In Nieves (NievesNYC) matchup, he took a forfeit loss. Both teams are still looking for their first wins of the season.
