Staten Island, NY – The College of Staten Island Esports Teams played in their third set of competitions in the Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference (ECAC) Fall 2022 Esports League last week. Overall, the teams went 6-4 during Week Three of ECAC competition, though a few of those wins came via a forfeit. Below you will find every Esports match played in Week Three of the ECAC. Week 3 Results White: CSI 4, Dallas Baptist University 0 (4-3, 2-0, 2-1, 3-1)
        Current Record: 3-0 | Tied for 1^st
Game Notes: CSI RL White Team is now 3-0 after a 4-0 match win over Dallas Baptist University. CSI won game one in a very close call by a score of 4-3, though, would rally in the next three games to win the match, outscoring the Patriots 7-2 in those three games. Kleyer (Mucks) and Vargas (Driftzy) both led the team in total goals with four each and Vargas (Driftzy) led the team in total saves with eight. Rozenfeld (Eleventeen) added three goals and two saves, while Kleyer (Mucks), tallied the most assists in the match with five to go along with seven saves. CSI's RL Blue team won their first match this past week to improve to 1-2 to start their first ECAC season as a team. CSI Blue was down 3-1 in the series before rallying to win the next three games in a row. Look for both CSI White and CSI Blue to continue on with their winning ways as both opponents are evenly matched.

Week 3 Results: CSI 0, Carroll University 3 (109-250, 2-6, 1-3)
        Current Record: 2-1 | Tied for 4th
Game Notes: CSI's COD Esports team lost their first match of the season in straight sets. In game one, Sullivan (Fivebang) led the team with 26 eliminations. In game two's 6-2 defeat, Sullivan (Fivebang) and Stathakos (Nix) together did not tally enough eliminations to beat Carroll University. In the third game, it was Sullivan (Fivebang) again who recorded the highest score, with 37 eliminations and two assists too. The Dolphins COD team is off to a strong start still at 2-1 with all of their players really contributing, look for them to seek revenge against the Dukes of James Madison next Friday night at 8:00 P.M. primetime.

Week 3 Results: CSI 0, St. John's University 2 (2-13, 3-13)
        Current Record: 0-3 | Tied for 40th
Game Notes: CSI's Valorant Team was outplayed again by a score of 26-5 over both contests not showing much resilience. CSI recorded only five kills combined between both games as that would not be close to how Scarlet Crimson Red had chemistry from the jump. Mohamad Dawoud (DonkeyLover302), led the squad with 22 kills total between both games, though, it was not enough with St. John's getting four more kills total as a team. Nomeh (Apumatic) tallied eight assists in the loss, meanwhile Kam (Seraphic) recorded six assists. Look for the Dolphins to try to get their first win next week.

Game Notes: CSI LOL's team lost in their second straight week of ECAC action, moving their record to a sub 1-2 record now.
In game one, CSI total kills (17) were less than the team's total amount of Deaths (40). It was more of the same in game two, where CSI had 19 kills and recorded 36 deaths as CSI wasn't able to force a game three. Ponkov (VTaliy) took most of the team's damage in game one at nearly 43% and Enslen (Lumbus22) took most of the team's damage in game two roughly at 27%.

Game(s) Notes: Jared Williams (SBCxSmoke) suffers his first loss of the season in NBA 2K23 dropping to 2-1 in two convincing blowout wins as he was defeated by Logan S. of Albion College, 2-0. Williams (SBCxSmoke) lost game one by 15 points using the Milwaukee Bucks while Logan won using the Cleveland Cavaliers. Game two was a bit tougher as Williams (SBCxSmoke) had 19 assists and 8 dunks, which were the only two statistical categories he won over Logan, which did not stop him from doing everything else right, and was able to hold on for the 69-50 game, and series loss. Healey (Rhealzzz) took a forfeit win and moves to 2-1 in the ECAC as he is yet to play an official match. In Williams (SBCxSmoke) Madden 23 matchup, he took game one as the Chargers, 36-18 against the Vikings whom Ben S. of Lycoming College, chose first. Down 1-0 in the series, Ben ultimately forfeited the second game, as Williams (SBCxSmoke) would then go ahead to pick up his second victory. Therefore, there would be no decisive game three that would take place as a result, and Williams caught a break from his rival. Expect a much more detailed game plan next week for Williams as he will look to maintain his good play and winning record.

In Nieves (NievesNYC) matchup, he took a forfeit win also getting his first win of the season in conference play. Velasquez got his first win and so did Nieves, but look for both of them to play hard next week as they look to climb back to a .500 record.
