Staten Island, NY | The College of Staten Island Esports Team completed their fifth week of matchups in the East Coast Conference (ECC) Fall 2022 Esports League. Overall the four competing teams went 2-2 in ECC play. In addition, CSI's White RL team competed in @EsportsUGaming CECC East Regional LAN Games this past weekend. ECC Rocket League (White & Blue Teams) | 3v3 best of 5 | 8 Schools (11 Teams) in Competition

Week 5 Results Blue: CSI 0, Molloy College 3 (0-1, 0-1, 0-1)
Current Record: 2-3 | Tied for 4th
Week 5 Results White: CSI 3, D'Youville University 1 (0-1, 5-0, 4-1, 4-3)
Current Record: 5-0 | Tied for 1st
Game Notes: CSI's White RL team defeated D'Youville University 3-1 dropping their first game of the season in the matchup. After dropping the first game on a goal by D'Youville with two seconds left, CSI went on to score 13 goals in the next three games to take the victory.  Driftzy led all players with six goals as CSI White faced their toughest test so far this season. Meanwhile, CSI's Blue team, unfortunately, lost their third match, against Molloy College in three games, 3-0. CSI Blue is now back to a sub-.500 record of 2-3 in the ECC season, as they prepare for a big playoff push.

*Special Match Note: The RL White Team competed at Rutgers University this past week weekend and went 2-2 overall falling short of qualifying early for the CECC. CSI picked up wins against Alvernia and NJCU in Group A play, and lost to Stockton (2-3) in five games, though still good enough to make the quarterfinals. The quarterfinals are where CSI fell short, narrowly losing against some great competition in five games (2-3). Nonetheless, it was a great experience for the team as the road to the @CECCEvents continues. Check out some of the action caught on camera from this weekend HERE.

Week 5 Results: CSI 0, Farmingdale State College 2 (0-13, 0-13)
Current Record: 3-2 | Tied for 3rd
Game Notes: The Dolphins Valorant Esports steam suffered their second loss in the ECC season as they were defeated by ECC member school Farmingdale State College in two games, 0-2. Even with the loss, CSI still holds third place overall in the conference standings as we head into playoff positioning.

ECC OVERWATCH 2 | 5v5 best of 5 | 6 Schools in Competition

Week 5 Results: CSI 3, Molloy College 0 (4-1, 2-0, 5-3)
Current Record: 4-1 | 2nd Overall
Game(s) Notes: CSI's OW2 team picked up its third straight win and fourth overall on the season, defeating Molloy College in straight sets, 3-0. In game one of the set, CSI was able to secure the objective with a total percentage control of 220-20. In games two & three, CSI was able to stop Molloy College's attack and successfully escort their payload in both games, despite a close attempt by MC to stop it. CSI won overall, 3-0, in the match. This Friday, CSI will look to continue their win streak to four games, as they will take on a fellow ECC member school, the Penmen of Southern New Hampshire University (SNHU), who comes in with a 2-1 record.
