Staten Island, NY | The College of Staten Island faced off against the Warriors today in their second home doubleheader of the season. The Dolphins split the games against Nyack College. They fell in game one, 5-4, but they bounced back in game two for a 9-8 victory. Today's matchup puts the Dolphins at 4-5 on the season, as the opposing Warriors fall to 4-9 overall.
KEY MOMENTS
Game 1
Both squads were quiet throughout the first three innings. Nyack scratched first in the top of the fourth and then added to that in the top of the fifth. They took a 2-0 lead. CSI was still runless as the Warriors tacked on three more runs to take a commanding 5-0 lead with only one inning to go. The Dolphins would close the game out strong with a four-run performance in the bottom of the seventh. This was started by an Acosta single to third base. It was followed by a Macpherson single top shortstop and a Moore single to right center in which Macpherson and Acosta scored, 5-2. After a Moore advance and walks from both Mochrie and Carreon, Gallo scored, 5-3. Carcano would single up the middle which led to a Moore score. CSI would fall short as the Warriors won 5-4.
Game 2
CSI started off strong in the bottom of the first with three runs. Acosta singled to right field and stole second base as Carreon scored. Moore would then single through the left side setting the tone for Gallo to single to right field for an RBI as Acosta scored. Moore would advance to third as Macpherson reached on a fielder's choice and she would score. CSI led 3-0. The Warriors would respond with five runs in the top of the second to take a two-run advantage before the Dolphins regained their lead in the bottom of the fourth. They tallied four runs behind an Acosta homer that would lead to 4 RBIs as Carreon, Porcaro and Mochrie scored. CSI took an 8-5 lead, but Nyack would tie the game in the top of the seventh with three runs of their own. The Dolphins had the final possession before the potential for extra innings. They took advantage as Acosta doubled to center field and Moore hit a walk off single to right field. Katerridge would score and CSI went on to win 9-8.

Anissa Acosta would go 3-for-4 with a homer, a double, and two runs and four RBIs. Moore tallied a 4-for-4 game with a double, a run and an RBI. Pitchers 
Kelsey Strayer and Alexis combined for only one strikeout in the game. The Warriors finished the contest with eight runs, 13 hits, and three errors.

Elizabeth Moore. She registered a 2-for-3 performance for one double, one run, and two RBIs. She added nine catches and eight putouts in CSI's loss.
