Buffalo, NY | The College of Staten Island faced off against the Saints today in their first ECC series of the season. The Dolphins fell to D'Youville in both games today. They fell in game one, 3-11, and the second game 2-12. Today's matchup puts the Dolphins at 4-7 on the season and 0-2 in ECC Play. 
KEY MOMENTS
Game 1
The Saints came out swinging, Pepke hit an inside-the-park homer. That would begin the four-run inning for D'Youville. In the top of the 3rd inning, Aponte would reach 1st base on an error by the pitcher. That led to a two-run inning for the dolphins. Mariah Carcano would single, Jessica Carreon would then lay down a Sacrifice Bunt to advance the runners. Then Sam McPherson would single and drive in Apone and Carcano. The Dolphins added another run in the top of the fifth inning off a triple by Carcano she would score off a fielding error. However, D'Youville would add on an additional six runs in the bottom of the fifth inning and one run in the bottom of the sixth which invoked the mercy rule and ended the game. 
Game 2
D'Youville started off the game with eight runs in the bottom of the 1st inning. The Saints added on four additional runs in the bottom of the 3rd inning. In the top of the 3rd inning, Anissa Acosta singled and advanced to second base on a throwing error. Samantha Macpherson doubled to right field and advanced Acosta to 3rd base. Acosta scored off an RBI groundout to 2nd base by Elizabeth Gallo.CSI added one more run in the bottom of the 4th, Victoria Whalen started off the inning with a walk, advanced to second base off a wild pitch, a ground out by Jessica Carreon got Whalen to third base where we scored off a fielding error. Unfortunately, that wouldn't be enough and the game ended by mercy rule in the bottom of the fifth.

Game 1 
CSI tallied three runs, six hits, and three errors in the game. Mariah Carcano went 2-for-3 with triple and two runs. Samantha Macpherson would go 3-for-1 with two RBIs. Pitchers Alexis Miramontes and Jacklyn Kateridge gave up 13 hits. Miramontes had one strikeout in 4 innings. Nyack finished the game with eleven runs, thirteen hits, and two errors.
Game 2
CSI tallied two runs, six hits, and two errors in the game. Anissa Acosta went 2-for-3 with one run. Victoria Whalen went 1-for-1 with a walk, a double, and one run. Samantha Macpherson would go 1-for-2 with a double. Pitchers Kelsey Strayer and Jacklyn Kateridge combined for only two strikeouts in the game. The Warriors finished the contest with twelve runs, thirteen hits, and two errors.
