CSI's SSBU team of Sofronio Lorenzo (Frio), Jeremiah Alonso (YoshiSonic35), Nicholas Lam (ToonNick), and Justin Pena (Yotin) defeated Husson University and The College of Saint Rose during the same week in week one of the ECAC playoffs. During their rematch against HU, CSI would yet again prove they would be a hard team to take down. Game one, Lorenzo (Frio) would be sent out first. Against the opponents first player he would take down the opponent with one stock remaining. HU would then send out their next player. Lorenzo (Frio) would be taken down but not without taking 2 stocks of his own. CSI would then send out Lam (Toonnick) to finish up the job, losing one stock in the process. HU's last player was sent out and unfortunately would take out Lam. CSI's last player Pena (Yotin) would be sent out and would quickly finish up the job and win game one. Game two HU would keep things rather close. The game was back and forth taking stock for stock. It came down to the last player, Unfortunately HU would get the best out of CSI and take game two. During game three CSI would only send out one player, Lorenzo (Frio). As he would be the player to take down the entire team of HU. With him only losing two stocks, CSI would win game three and win the series.
During their game against Saint Rose, they would work together and try to figure out a strategy to win. Game one CSI would again send out Lorenzo (Frio) to start the game off. He would take down the first opponent against SR with one stock remaining. He would then be taken down during the second opponent where he would not be able to take a stock. Alonso (YoshiSonic35) would be sent out next. He would take down the opponent with 2 stocks remaining. Alonso would be taken out against the following opponent but would take one stock. Lastly, Pena (Yotin) would be sent out and finish the job losing no stocks. Game two CSI would send out the same line up. However with Lorenzo taking out four stocks, Alonso would come in and show us how quickly and efficiently he would be at taking out the rest of the team and win the series. |

Even taking a round from the second-best team in the league this season. CSI would not go down without a fight and showed that they are capable to be in this league and strike fear in the opponent's eyes. Ultimately, CSI's season ended earlier than we anticipated, however, CSI played to the best of their ability. ECAC: CSI's Rocket League team of Ralphy Vargas (Driftzy), Samuel Rozenfeld (Eleventeen), and Maxim Kleyer (Muckz) defeated Saint Francis University for a round one playoff win. During their match against SFU CSI would be dominant during their rounds showing how well they can control the ball and their spacing. During game one CSI would shutout SFU from scoring any goals and would score seven of their own. Each team member would score at least one goal during the game. In game two CSI would continue to dominate and scored three goals before SFU could score one. The rest of the game CSI would continue to play defense very well and would keep SFU at bay. Game three SFU would change their approach and would score two goals, CSI would try to break through their defense and score a goal, but SFU would keep their defenses up and ended the game shutting out CSI. In game four CSI adapted well to SFU's change and would score five goals to SFU's two. Ending the series 3-1.
In round two of ECAC playoffs, against the number one seeded team (Boise State Uiversity) in the ECAC, CSI gave it their all and played their hardest but ultimately fell in a 0-3 fashion. In game one CSI would keep the score very close, having one goal each. Both teams tried to look for an opening to secure a lead and win. Unfortunately, BSU would find the opening first and would take the lead and win. Game two we would see about the same. CSI would have the game tied for a bit however BSU would find openings to score two more goals and take game two. Game three went down to the last minute, having it tied up yet again CSI would look to break up BSU's defense and get a chance to score. However, it would be BSU that would break CSI's defense up and score one last goal before the time ran out. Taking the game and the series 3-0. This ends the season in the ECAC for the RL, though, they are right in the mix for the ECC title!
ECC: After their bye week, CSI's RL team would play in their week seven matchup against a 2-3 Daemen College team. CSI would be forced to play a 2v3 match due to one of CSI's player's internet not working at game time. Despite the handicap in favor of DC, CSI would come out victorious in straight sets 3-0. CSI took game one by a final of 3-2, then in game two CSI would hold on for a 2-1 win. For game three, CSI would shutout their opponent for a 2-0 win and match win. Rozenfeld (Eleventeen) would record three goals, three assists and three saves across all three wins. While his lone teammate, Kleyer (Muckz) would register four goals, three assists and one save in all.
CSI picked up an additional win over their week eight opponent, Farmingdale State College's A Team. CSI took game one by a final of 6-3, Kyleyer (Muckz) scored three of CSI six goals in that game. CSI fell in game two by a final of 4-3. The game loss did not hinder their play as they went on to win game three, 5-2 as Kyleyer (Muzkz) and Vargas (Driftzy) both scored two goals in the game. In game four it was all Kyleyer (Muckz) who scored all four goals for CSI to win the game and the series by a final of 4-2. |

CSI's Overwatch team of Shane Drucker (Weast), Younan Ibrahim (Yawn), James Handibode (Sly), Elizabeth Garrison (Lizzie), Andrew Shinoda (Bioactive1), and Alyssa Ramharracksingh (RamsZer0) defeated D'Youville College in straight sets. For the third time these two colleges met, CSI continued to show their dominance over DYU. Game one round one CSI would go on to attack DYU's objective and would not let up on their pressure. CSI would not let DYU close to taking back the objective and would remain on the objective until they struck 100% on the objective. Round two CSI would do about the same, taking over point A and only losing control for just a split second. Game two CSI defended their objective this time around and DYU would be forced to attack and bring out the payload. With CSI playing a strong defense, DYU could not get past CSI and take any percent on the objective and would fall in round one. Round two CSI would be attacking this time around as it was up to DYU to try and defend against CSI. CSI would heavily push the objective and would team wipe the DYU. With no one from DYC on the objective CSI took round two quickly. Game three we would see about the same from CSI. As CSI would go on to defend their objective from the attacks from DYU. With the second team kill of the game, CSI would keep their defense up and not let DYU near their objective and take round one. Round two CSI would finish things rather quickly. They would go for a hard push for the objective and get yet another team kill in the process. With DYU trying to quickly run back to take the objective from CSI, CSI would not go down. CSI would push them away and with no one from DYU on objective CSI would win game three and take home the series.
CSI's Overwatch team also played their week eight game, though, were defeated by Molloy College in a very close series of games. Game one round one CSI would be attacking the objective. CSI would dominate and take the round 100%-68%. In round two CSI would try to end the game but would fall during overtime and would lose the objective. Once CSI took the objective, they pushed the payload all the way to their side without dropping a single meter. In round two it would be CSI's turn to defend. CSI would keep MC at bay and made sure they did not take over CSI's objective. MC would take one last push to try and take their objective but to no avail, CSI would team kill and win the round. In game three both teams had tied the round in the game mode 3-3, with the last round CSI would defend the objective but would fall after a team kill by MC, losing game three. Game four CSI would have to push the payload farther than MC in order to win. CSI try their hardest to push the payload as far as they could, however, MC would stop them near the halfway mark. When the teams switched sides, CSI tried to defend against the push from MC. However, MC would put on the pressure and push past CSI's payload and win the game. In game five the final game, both teams would try to take over the objective in order to take the round. Both teams fought hard for control. Matching each other, kill for kill. Each team's percentage would be rather close to one another as well. However, it would be MC that would take 100% over CSI's 87%. In round two CSI would try their hardest but would ultimately fall and lose the game and series, 3-2. |
