KEY MOMENTS
Game 1
Anissa Acosta got things started for the Dolphins early as she homered to center field in the top of the first. Mercy College matched CSI in the first with a score of their own. The game was knotted at one run apiece. The Dolphins would go dry as the Mavericks ripped off seven runs combined in the second, third, and fourth innings. They Dolphins were finally able to scratch again in the top of the fifth. This was sparked by yet another homer by Acosta, to right center. The Dolphins wouldn't be able to close the gap as Mercy coasted to a six-run victory, 8-2.
Game 2
The Dolphins came out strong in the top of the first. They would put up a quick four runs to get things started. This was all sparked by a Kateridge single to shortstop. Acosta and Moore would then walk as Kateridge scored. Aponte would single to right field which led to two RBIs as Macpherson and Acosta scored. Following that, a Porcaro walk and a Miramontes reach on a fielder's choice would trigger a Gallo foul out to right field, in which Aponte scored. This 4-0 advantage would bold well for the rest of the contest as Mercy would only be able to tack on sole runs in the fourth, fifth, and seventh innings. CSI held on for a 4-3 win.
