INDOOR TRACK & FIELD COMPETES IN JOE HANDELMAN INVITATIONAL

12/9/2023 11:00:00 PM

Princeton, NJ - The College of Staten Island Indoor Track & Field Team competed in their second meet of the 2023-2024 season earlier today as they took part in the Joe Handelman Invitational hosted by Princeton University.  Today's outing marked the first time that CSI has participated in this meet and the NCAA programs joining the Dolphins included the host Tigers, Morgan State and TCNJ.

The lone first place finish for the Dolphins came on the track as Jah Whyte posted a top-5 effort for the second time in as many weeks when he took first in the Mile Run.  The field of six in that event included five Dolphins and Whyte's time of 4:40.24 was good for a new program record.  Joining Whyte with a record-setting effort for the second consecutive week was Angelina Guerriero who broke the 600 Meter Run record with a time of 1:52.18 in a sixth place finish.  For the CSI men, Steven Elock also broke another program record with a time of 36.39 in the 300-Meter Dash.  In the field, Sofia Dulisova once again place fourth overall in the High Jump matching last week's performance with a height of 1.55m in the event.

The Dolphins will be off from competition until the new year as they will not compete again until January 12, 2024 at the Spartan Invitational.  Below are the complete results from today's meet in both PDF format and via the live scoring interface.
