Staten Island, NY - The College of Staten Island Baseball Team heads to Caldwell, NJ for a rematch with the Caldwell University Cougars this afternoon at 2:30 PM. These two teams just met this past weekend on Sunday for a doubleheader in which each side won one game. The Dolphins enter today's games 2-7 on the year and the Cougars come in 1-1.
Both teams have been off since Sunday's doubleheader at Staten Island University Hospital Community Park. The Dolphins won the first game 7-2 behind an eleven-strikeout effort from ECC Rookie of the Week Christian Rice and the Cougars won game two 15-2.
The CSI offense hasn't gotten going yet as the Dolphins come in hitting just .229 on the season. Leading the way at the plate are A.J. Vigliotti and Domenick Castiglione who are both hitting above the .400 mark. Rice and Ryan Kehoe lead the CSI pitching staff in ERA entering today's games, and John Esposito turned in a quality start against the Cougars on Sunday. Look for Esposito and Kehoe to get work in today's games.
