GAMEDAY: BASEBALL OPENS BIG CONFERENCE SERIES AGAINST LINCOLN WITH DOUBLEHEADER

Lincoln, PA - The College of Staten Island Baseball Team opens a four-game conference series against Lincoln University today as they take on the Lions in a doubleheader at 1 PM.   The Dolphins enter today's games 11-20 overall and 3-9 against the East Coast Conference.  The Lions come in 10-25-1 on the year and 3-9 in conference play.  The Dolphins lead the all-time series against the Lions 3-1.

The Dolphins last played on Sunday against the Mercy College in the finale of a four-game conference series.  After leading early against the Mavericks, the Dolphins surrendered 12 unanswered runs in a 16-8 defeat.  The Lions were last in action last weekend against Queens when they suffered a four-game sweep at the hands of the Knights.

The Dolphins are led in batting by four hitters coming into today's doubleheader batting above the .350 mark, AJ Vigliotti, Michael Kehoe, Shendi Ulaj, and Vincent WeigeleNick Cippoletti is also quickly approaching the .300 mark in batting and Thomas Marten has climbed up to .267 over the past two weeks.  On the mound, John Esposito leads the Dolphins with a 3.22 ERA and Ryan Kehoe, who has typically served as the starter for the Dolphins in series openers, comes in with a 3.86 ERA.  Fellow starter Christian Rice is fourth on the team in ERA at 4.46.

The Lions are led in hitting by the duo of Jalen and Jaden Greenidge who are hitting .325 and .303 respectively.  The Lions come in hitting at .253 on the season as a team and with a team ERA of 7.90.  The Lions pitching staff is led in ERA by a pair pitchers with an ERA near 4.00, Josiah Bowles and Darrion Williams.
