GAMEDAY: BASEBALL RECOGNIZES ELEVEN SENIORS AHEAD OF 2023 SEASON FINALE VS SAINTS

Staten Island, NY - The College of Staten Island Baseball Team wraps up the 2023 season this afternoon as they take on the D'Youville University Saints in the final game of a four-game series.  The Dolphins enter today's game 17-25 on the season and 9-14 in conference play.  The Saints come into today's game 19-24 overall and 9-12 against conference opponents.

The Dolphins have taken two of the first three games of the series and lead the all-time series against the Saints 10-3.  However, the team was eliminated from playoff contention with the loss in game on of yesterday's doubleheader, and the best they can do is finish in a tie with the Mercy College Mavericks in the standings.  Because the Mavericks won the season series against the Dolphins, Mercy clinched the final ECC playoff spot with a CSI loss.

The Dolphins will recognize eleven seniors ahead of today's first pitch in a Senior Day ceremony.  Frank Retzlaff, John Castiglione, Jake Myers, Angel Santiago, Nick Cippoletti, Shendi Ulaj, Michael Crocco, Kevin Ryan, Steven Collica, Domenick Castiglione, and John Esposito will all be recognized in today ceremony that will include a brief summary of their career achievements and some words from their coaches.  Today's ceremony can be viewed in its entirety along with today's game on CSI Sportsnet.
