MEETDAY: TRACK & FIELD VISITS CONNECTICUT FOR WESLEYAN INDOOR INVITE

Middletown, CT - The College of Staten Island Indoor Track & Field Team will break from local competition this weekend as they hit the road for the Wesleyan Indoor Invite. This will be the team's second appearance in this meet following their debut last season.

It was an impressive showing for the Dolphins at the Wesleyan Indoor Invite last year as the team took a pair of first-place finishes along with several other performances placing CSI athletes in the top-ten. The outing was led by the effort of the Throws unit with Skylar Pointer and Ava Thompson finishing first and second in the Weight Throw. Also among the CSI returners placing highly at the meet was Aryanna Finkelstein who placed top-ten in the same event. On the track, Precious Dillon, Angelina Guerriero, and Alexandrea Jackson also placed in the top ten in the 60-Meter, 400-Meter, and 800-Meter respectively.

Last week's Gotham Cup was highlighted by Vincent Ohenhen's new program record in the 200-Meter Dash with a time of 22.28s. This earned him a spot on the East Coast Conference Weekly Honor Roll. The Dolphins also scored three top-ten finishes in Throws and Sofia Dulisova finished second in the High Jump.
