GAMEDAY: MEN'S SOCCER RETURNS HOME FOR PIVOTAL SENIOR DAY MATCH AGAINST D'YOUVILLE

Staten Island, NY - The College of Staten Island Men's Soccer Team returns home for the first time in nearly three weeks as they host a Senior Day conference match against D'Youville University. The Dolphins enter today's match 2-8-1 on the season and 1-3-1 against the ECC. The Saints are 2-7-3 on the year and 0-2-2 in conference play. Currently occupying the final ECC playoff spot, a win today could move the Dolphins to fifth in the conference standings. A loss would see D'Youville replace the Dolphins in the final playoff spot with two conference games remaining for the Dolphins. Historically, the Dolphins have had great success against the Saints with a 3-0 record all-time against D'Youville. The Dolphins have outscored the Saints 9-2 across those three matches most recently defeating the Saints 4-1 on the road last season.

Ahead of today's game, the Dolphins will recognize their 2024 senior class. Among the honorees are Sean Fisherman, Billy Pavlou, Yousef Dardeir, Miguel Espinosa, Brendan Maguire, and Brian Kerilu. The Dolphins will also take the time to remember Bougary Sissoko, a former Dolphins who lost his life in a vehicular accident in 2022. "Abou," as he was known by his teammates and coaches, would have been celebrated as a four-year senior ahead of today's game.
