GAMEDAY: WOMEN'S SOCCER HOSTS HOLY FAMILY ON MORGAN'S MESSAGE MENTAL HEALTH AWARENESS DAY

10/26/2024 6:00:00 AM

Staten Island, NY - The College of Staten Island Women's Soccer Team will host their third annual Morgan's Message Mental Health Awareness Day at the CSI Outdoor Track & Field Complex today when they take on Holy Family University at 11:00 AM.  The Dolphins enter their first-ever meeting with the Tigers at 0-10-3 on the season following a loss to Molloy on Wednesday.  Holy Family comes into today's game with a record of 4-7-1 after defeating Felician University 1-0 one week ago.  For the Dolphins, today's game will be the first of two non-conference home matches to end the season.

The CSI Women's Soccer Team is dedicating today's game to the life and legacy of Morgan Rodgers, a former Duke University Lacrosse student-athlete who died tragically in July 2019 after battling mental health struggles.  Although Morgan's life was cut way too short, her legacy of unconditional love remains.  Morgan's Message was created by her family and former teammates with the mission to eliminate the stigma surrounding mental health, normalize the conversations about mental health and to ensure that mental health is treated equally to physical health for all student-athletes.  For more information and a link to donate, scan the QR code in the image below.
