GAMEDAY: MEN'S BASKETBALL OPENS CONFERENCE PLAY AGAINST DAEMEN IN ECC SEMIFINAL REMATCH

Staten Island, NY - The College of Staten Island Men's Basketball Team opens conference play later tonight as they host Daemen University in a rematch of the 2024 ECC Championship Semifinal. The Dolphins come in with a record of 3-4 following a loss to Jefferson six days ago. The Wildcats come in with an unbeaten 5-0 record and are currently ranked #1 in the D2CSC East Region Basketball poll. They are also ranked #7 in the D2CSC Top 25 and are currently one of eight undefeated teams to appear in that poll. The Dolphins picked up their first two wins in program history against Daemen last season as they swept the regular season series. However, the Wildcats defeated the Dolphins in the semifinal round of the 2024 ECC Men's Basketball Championship, 68-56. The victory gave Daemen a 5-2 lead in the all-time series and sent them to the ECC Championship game against St. Thomas Aquinas College.
