GAMEDAY: MEN'S BASKETBALL CLOSING IN ON PLAYOFF BERTH AS THEY HOST D'YOUVILLE

Staten Island, NY - The College of Staten Island Men's Basketball Team is back in action on their home floor later today as they host the D'Youville University Saints at 3:00 PM. The Dolphins improved to 14-8 on the year and 8-3 in conference play with a victory over Daemen on Friday night. The win moves the Dolphins close to clinching a playoff spot and secures them any tiebreaker against Daemen moving forward. The Dolphins currently occupy the number two seed, but CSI would have a tough time catching up to number one seed St. Thomas Aquinas as the Spartans have beaten them twice this season. The Saints enter their matchup with the Dolphins at 6-16 and in desperate need of a conference win at 3-8 against the ECC. D'Youville also played on Friday, but they suffered a loss against UDC to fall three games out of a playoff spot. When the two teams met nine days ago, the Dolphins picked up an 84-71 victory to remain perfect against D'Youville in five meetings all-time.
