DOLPHINS WRAP UP INDOOR TRACK & FIELD SEASON AT FASTTRACK LAST CHANCE INVITE

Staten Island, NY - The College of Staten Island Track & Field Team competed for the last time during the Indoor season earlier today as they took part in the Fasttrack Last Chance Invitational. Today's meet marked the second time that the Dolphins have competed in this meet following participation in their conference championship meet with their first appearance coming last season.

Three CSI men competed in today's meet with two Dolphins taking part in the 800-Meter. Wayne Stephenson and Ryan Tierney finished in 29th and 37th respectively posting times of 2:02.22 and 2:04.66. In the field Dominik Hric participated in the both the Shot Put and Weight Throw. In the Shot Put, the freshman achieved a distance of 10.82m and took 18th. In the Weight Throw, his distance of 11.69m was a collegiate-best and good for 10th overall.

Inioluwa Ogunfowora participated in the the 60-Meter and 200-Meter for the CSI women posting season-best times in both events. In the 60, she registered a time of 8.25s, and in the 200, she finished with a time of 27.17s. Both Angelina Guerriero and Alexandrea Jackson ran in the 800-Meter as well with the latter posting a personal-best time of 2:35.64. Elizabeth Nicotra was the last of the CSI runners as she ran the Mile in 6:06.15. In the field Sofia Dulisova participated in the High Jump, Tacia Marshall made her debut in the Shot Put, and both Ava Thompson and Skylar Pointer participated in the Weight Throw.

The Indoor Track & Field Team will next compete at the start of their Outdoor season in late-March. The 2024 Outdoor season will open on March 29th in Townson, Maryland when they take part in the Townsend Invitational.
