GAMEDAY: BASEBALL FACES MERCY IN RARE FRIDAY DOUBLEHEADER TO OPEN CONFERENCE PLAY

Staten Island, NY - The College of Staten Island Baseball Team returns to action following four days off this afternoon as they open conference play at home against the Mercy University Mavericks with a 1 PM doubleheader. The Dolphins come in with a record of 5-10 on the season after suffering a sweep at the hands of Chestnut Hill College on Sunday. The Mavericks are 9-3 on the season and last played on Tuesday when they defeated Dominican University 16-3. The all-time series between CSI and Mercy extends all the way to the late 1970's with the Mavericks holding a 17-9 advantage. Since announcing their move to Division II in 2019, the Dolphins have gone 3-11 against the Mavericks.
