GAMEDAY: WOMEN'S SOCCER FACES GEORGIAN COURT ON ANIMAL CARE CENTERS & AWARENESS DAY

Staten Island, NY - The College of Staten Island Women's Soccer Team plays their third home match of the 2024 season this afternoon when they face the Lions of Georgian Court University at 11:00 AM. Last time out, the 0-2-1 Dolphins came up one goal short in a 4-3 loss against Dominican University. The Lions enter today's game with a record of 2-1 following wins over Pace and New Haven and a loss to Mercy University. The Lions and Dolphins have met during each of the last three seasons with the last two meetings ending in a draw. In 2021, the Lions picked up a commanding 8-0 victory over the Dolphins. In 2022, the two teams each scored a single goal, and last year both team scored three times in another tie.

Today, the Dolphins will be hosting Animal Care Centers and Awareness Day at the CSI Outdoor Track & Field Complex. As part of their effort to support Animal Care Centers, the team is asking for donations of towels and linen to be left in the collection alongside the pitch during today's game.
