GAMEDAY: MEN'S SOCCER HOSTS ASSUMPTION IN 2024 SEASON-OPENER

Staten Island, NY - The College of Staten Island Men's Soccer Team will host their 2024 season-opener this afternoon as they take on the Greyhounds of Assumption University at 1:00 PM. With Dolphins Soccer Park undergoing renovations during the 2024 season, the Dolphins will play their first game on the all-new turf field at the CSI Track & Field Complex. The Dolphins will be looking to build upon a 2023 season which saw them qualify for the playoffs as a Division II program for the first time in program history. The team finished 4-7-4 last year with a 2-3-3 mark against the East Coast Conference. The Greyhounds are coming off a 4-8-4 season that saw them finish 2-6-2 in the Northeast-10 Conference. Today's meeting will be the third between the two teams with the two sides facing one another in each of the last two seasons. In 2022, the Greyhounds defeated the Dolphins 2-0 at Dolphins Soccer Park. Last season, the Dolphins faced the Greyhounds on the road and fell by a score of 4-3.
